Wine review numero uno.

Here is our very first wine review from January of this year.  I must note that we had tried some wine in the past but really had no idea what to buy and how to taste it. I remember we picked this bottle up at Sprouts.  It is a locally produced wine, and we try to buy local when possible.  I thought a White Merlot sounded quite intriguing.  Reading back on this review makes me laugh. January 4, 2010: Kokopelli Winery White Merlot Dave: Pretty color, like a red juicy fruit, sour and butterscotch.  Yum, sweet, light but rich.  Called a “White Merlot” but it doesn’t taste like Merlot.  Steve might even go for this one.  Faint odor, alcohol swab.  (He gave it B- for his first glass and his second glass earned a C+.) Kelly: Super sweet!  Light flavor.  A bit fruity and a tiny bit tart with a touch of cough syrup.  Doesn’t me think “hey this is a good Merlot!”  It does not taste like Merlot.  (I gave it 3.5 stars.  I guess I was using a different system in the beginning.) So there you have it folks, the beginning.
